Since 2007, the number of men and women in Texas and the U.S. who donate time and services to non-profits has increased. The increase in volunteers is caused by both the recent difficult economic times and individual economic situations that allow people to re-evaluate personal priorities. Among those volunteering, include young people who are interested in public service. During National Volunteer Week, we thank our many volunteers for continued service and welcome new volunteers. As a volunteer-led organization, we could not help our community prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters without you.
Interested in joining us, visit our web site for more information on applications and training.
If you are a current volunteer, please join us for the 2nd Volunteer and Wine Reception Recognizing People in Action—Thursday, April 23. 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. For more information, call 214-678-4368.
