Volunteers Swing Into Action

The backbone of the American Red Cross-Dallas Area Chapter--volunteers. They are trained and ready to answer the call at a moment's notice.

As the Dallas Area Chapter prepares for the worst, calls go out for volunteers to staff shelters, move supplies from the warehouse and coordinate with partners. It's definitely a team effort.

Above you see volunteers TaJuanna Smith, Emergency Response and Recovery Staffing and Nita Wright, Disaster Services Human Resources Volunteer Administrator as well as Dallas Area Chapter employee Gerard Young, Staffing Specialist, reaching out to our cadre of volunteers for assistance.

If you are interested in changing lives by lending a helping hand after disasters, please visit us at www.redcrossdallas.org/volunteer. While you cannot help with this response, if you have the passion, we have the place for you next time!
