American Red Cross gets an Extreme Makeover

Every time I watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, I need a Kleenex box… maybe two on some occasions. Well this time, Extreme Makeover will be changing one Indiana family’s life on Oct. 25.

Ty Pennington and his mighty megaphone won’t stop there though. Extreme Makeover Home builder Hallmark homes plans to host an American Red Cross blood drive in honor of the deserving family.

“It’s incredible when thousands of people come together for something bigger than themselves,” said Derek Wilder, the CEO of Hallmark Homes. “Helping others in so many different ways not only changes their lives but our lives as well.”

While we aren’t exactly located near Indiana, you are invited to save a life at a local American Red Cross blood center by either donating blood or sponsoring a drive.

To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or visit givelife.org for details.

  1. That is great that the show is willing to do something with the Red Cross. I worked for the Red Cross for 3 years and I really like to see things like this happening. Thank you for posting it.
