Preparedness tip of the week: Check Disaster Plans

Check disaster plans at areas you frequent. This could include your child's school, your work and other places where you spend a lot of time. Make sure to incorporate the plans with you awesome plan (you made back when we had our first preparedness tip of the week).

Easy enough, right?

Right!

So go preparedness freak and prepare! Remember it's supposed to be cold for the remainder of the week so bundle up... but that's another blog.

Check out this Dilbert video about disaster plans.

  1. What does anyone expect in case of loss (hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood, fire, etc.)?
The disaster itself is news. What happens after the dust settles is the story.
Insurance policyholders, and more importantly disaster survivors, need to be informed of access to basic rights and information. Much is available, gratis!
    It just takes looking: www.disasterprepared.net/info.html

I asked, "Where are the sacred rights of an insurance policyholder?"
And because they were secret, I said, "I must create access."

  2. Thanks for your info and link tonyb! You have given us a good idea for a future blog. So many of the people we see are uninsured. We want to do more on the preparedness end to discuss rental insurance as our #1 responded to disaster is a home fire.
