Hey the Fox new reported that you had 100 volunteers from Fort Worth ready to go to Oklahoma. I'd like to meet these people and write an article about them. How can I get in touch with them? Are you in charge of them?
The American Red Cross chapters in North Texas have hundreds of volunteers who stand ready to deploy if needed. However, at this time, no volunteers from the area are deploying. We are unaware of a Fox news story that discussed 100 volunteers going to Oklahoma. Sometimes in the chaos of a disaster incorrect information can spread. If you have any questions or would like to speak to a Red Cross worker on the ground in Oklahoma, please call your nearest chapter: 817-335-9137 (Fort Worth) or 214-678-4800 (Dallas). Thanks for your interest.
