Hurricane Katrina Video Story 1: Makin' Waves, Saving Lives

To commemorate the fifth anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina, Wilma and Rita which devastated the Gulf Coast, the Red Cross has completed several short videos that describe our work in the aftermath of these storms, provide information about our preparedness today for major disasters and urge more steps to be taken so our nation is even more ready for disasters in the future.

Starting today, we will begin posting a video each day.

We hope these stories will be a reminder that the unthinkable can happen and that we all must do our part to get our homes, communities and nation ready.
