Texas Sees Rise in Child Drownings

There has been an "unprecedented" number of child drownings so far this year in Texas, says Anita Foster of the American Red Cross. This interview with CW 33 shares the inspiring story of Linda Jones and her son Reilly, the now thriving 8-year-old who nearly drowned in a swimming pool in July 2003. CPR training saved his life. Lisa Roth is one of Linda's friends who rescued him that day. She decided to give back to the American Red Cross by becoming an active volunteer who trains many people in CPR and First-Aid. She encourages parents to be extra vigilant when watching children around the pool and to renew their CPR training every year.
