Large Fire Displaces Families at Boardwalk Apartments
Late Sunday evening, the American Red Cross-Dallas Area Chapter responded to a devastating fire at the Boardwalk Apartments in McKinney, Texas. In total, 20 units were completely destroyed displacing 72 people.
While the Red Cross was actively working to set up a shelter, relief for all came quickly when it became evident one would not be needed. Amazingly, all individuals that lost their homes in the fire found safe places to stay within about one hour.
The Red Cross has provided assistance to all the individuals affected by this fire with essentials such as personal hygiene items, groceries, clothing and shoes.
